Eurovision in Baku

Azerbaijan is no 152 out of 178 when it comes to press freedoms. Other violations of human rights are of also nothing unusual. Can Europe simply ignore this and happily travel to Baku in May this year and ‘celebrate’ the continents music?

We have to. Leaving them out will not be an incentive for reform.

Enjoying the beauty of the country (http://danielfeidal.wordpress.com/2012/02/15/azerbaijan-my-second-home/) and the friendship of its people, while gradually trying to establish a dialogue on essential human rights issues seems to be the only practical way forward!

  1. Azerbaijan has 1,000,000 IDPs (Refugees and internally displaced persons) as a result of the occupation of the 20 percent of the territory of Azerbaijan by Armenia. And the interesting point that all of a Europe people and journalists write about the human rights, but no one of you do not write about rights of our refugees why?
